See the available shade range and understand VLT before choosing window tint for your vehicle.
Pro Tint carries Phantom S5 and S9 in the complete published lineup of 5%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 35%, 40% and 50% VLT. Air 7090 is a separate 70% VLT film suited to lighter applications.
VLT means visible light transmission—the percentage of visible light that passes through the glass-and-film combination. The final measured VLT can differ from the film label because factory glass already has its own light transmission.
Michigan State Police says window applications are limited on the front of the vehicle: tinting is generally permitted on rear side windows and the rear window when the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides, while the front side windows are limited to the top four inches except for a qualifying medical necessity. MSP also states Michigan does not specify darkness for permitted window applications but prohibits solar reflectivity above 35%.
